Clint Frazier To Join The Yankees In Washington Today
Clint Frazier will suit up tonight for the Yankees in Washington against Bryce Harper and the Nationals. The move has not yet officially been announced by the team, but it has been reported by Deesha Thosar of MLB.com. This isn't Clint's first taste of the big leagues as he made his debut in 2017, making 142 plate appearances in 39 games.
In 12 games at AAA with Scranton/Wiles Barre, Frazier has hit three home runs with a batting line of .362/.423/.702. He missed the previous part of the 2018 season due to concussion symptoms suffered as a result of a wall collision during Spring Training.
Frazier, the 5th overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft and chosen by the Cleveland Indians, was a centerpiece in a trade that saw him, along with three other Cleveland Indians, get shipped to New York for Andrew Miller. Clint has been a question mark for the Yankees ever since they acquired Giancarlo Stanton and he's been subject of many trade rumors since Stanton's arrival. This could be a big season for Frazier as he could once again change uniforms and help a team looking for a young bat or he could produce enough to earn a permanent spot in the Yankees lineup. Either way you'll want to keep an eye on him and possibly invest in some of his rookie cards!
He first appeared pictured in a Cleveland Indians uniform within various Bowman releases in 2013 including Chrome, Draft, and Sterling. However, his officially-labeled rookie cards are in 2018 products and you'll have a plethora of options to choose from!
Here are a few 2018 Clint Frazier rookie cards to hunt for!
